The following was sent as a message to everyone@mq.edu.au after a problem
that occured within the National Australia Bank.
The National Bank has confirmed that the delay in getting the pays into individual accounts was caused by a fault in their system. They guarantee that the funds will be in by tonight. It is uncertain whether this will be during working hours.
The NAB has assured us that, as the transaction date will be today's date, staff who have deductions from their bank account (e.g. mortgages, other loans etc.) should not incur any penalties.
The NAB on campus has confirmed that NAB customers may withdraw cash from their accounts over the counter, although they will not be able to access these funds through the automatic tellers until the pays are transferred by their system.
The NAB has apologised for the difficulty this has caused to staff and
their families.
