Approval of collective agreement
How and when

Your employer must set out details of how and when they will seek the approval of you and your workmates to the collective agreement.

Your employer must allow you a reasonable opportunity to decide whether you want to approve the collective agreement.

On 28 August 2006, Macquarie University will hold a vote to approve the collective agreement. Staff will be invited to approve the Agreement by a show of hands at a meeting to be held:

If a majority of those employees who cast a valid vote decide that they want to approve the collective agreement, the agreement will be approved.
